According to the Wrestling Observer, Aliyah’s injury during her matchup with Xia Li from this past week’s episode of NXT was an angle, and she did not actually sustain a broken nose. Reports are that she was scheduled for nose surgery prior to her bout, and this was done in order to write the NXT star off of TV.
Mia Yim’s broken nose was 100% legitimate, and came when her opponent, Io Shirai, dropkicked a ladder into her face. This occurred during the main event of the very same show Aliyah was reportedly hurt.
