Both starters are dealing with issues making them questionable for Monday night’s bout

The Philadelphia Eagles are heading to Lumen Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks in an Monday night matchup. The Eagles come in to the game after being totally dominated by the Dallas Cowboys last week, allowing Dallas to gain a game in the NFC East race. However the Cowboys lost to Buffalo this week, so a win by Philly would give them back a bit of leeway in the East. Meanwhile Seattle is struggling as of late, losing to the 49ers last week.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Eagles are currently favored over the Seahawks for tonight. We have been using Tallysight to get our picks in each week, so sign up at Tallysight for submitting your own bets.

There are a lot of questions as to who will actually be playing the quarterback position on both teams tonight. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was downgraded to questionable Saturday with an illness that caused him to travel separate from the team in an effort to not pass it to anyone else on the team.

Meanwhile, Seahawks QB Geno Smith is dealing with a groin injury that caused him to miss last week’s game also. While it’s expected that Hurts will play for the Eagles, it was said that Smith would be considered a “long-shot” to play for Seattle tonight, in which case backup Drew Lock will get the start.

The Seahawks are in a free-fall, after starting the season strong at 6-3, they have gone 0-4 since, falling almost out of playoff contention. They will need to win tonight to hold on to any hopes of post-season play. Philadelphia clinched a playoff spot Sunday without playing a game, however they will still need to continue to win if they expect to hold off Dallas from snatching their divisional lead.

I am taking Philadelphia in this game, to cover the spread and get the victory. Even if Smith was playing for Seattle, Philly has been one of the best teams in the league this season. While they have struggled as of late, I still believe they are the superior team to the Seahawks. I am also going with the under in this one.
