Nabers will need help from Daniel Jones and Drew Lock to win this wager
Former LSU teammates Malik Nabers and Jayden Daniels, have a friendly wager on which of them will become NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Nabers, the wide receiver drafted No. 6 by the New York Giants, and Daniels, the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback selected No. 2 overall by the Washington Commanders, apparently have a $10,000 bet on the winner.
Daniels was asked about the apparent bet on ‘All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson.’
“Man, he [Nabers] wasn’t supposed to tell nobody,” Daniels said. “We got a little something going on.”
Daniels then admitted to the $10K price tag.
Before anybody gets the wrong idea, this is just two friends making a wager between themselves. It’s all in fun, and there’s nothing untoward about it.
Per OddsChecker, Daniels is the second choice behind Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, to win Rookie of the Year. Daniels is +600, while Williams, the No. 1 overall pick, is +170. Nabers is the fifth choice among oddsmakers at +1400.
Daniels was asked which NFL receiver Nabers reminds him of.
“I think he’s similar to Ja’Marr [Chase],” Daniels said. “Just how explosive they are.”
