As expected, many world stars will make the trip to the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club from February 16 to 19 for the very richly endowed Saudi Ladies International counting for the LET.

Lydia Ko, results

The five million dollars in prize money proposed for the Saudi Ladies International (same prize money as the men the previous week) will undoubtedly attract the best players in the world.

This record endowment for a regular tournament has already decided the world number one Lydia Ko who had already won in Jeddah in 2021.

The New Zealander had a fantastic 2022 season with three LPGA victories including the CME Group Tour Championship, an event that had already allowed her to pocket the biggest check in LPGA history. In total, the 25-year-old golfer recorded 14 top 10s, including 9 top 5s and did not miss any cuts.

If the LET calendar unveiled in December also offers a significant increase in its annual allocation, the fact remains that the disparity is cause for concern among less upscale players.

Regarding the Saudi Ladies International, just 60 golfers, out of the 120 entered, will come from the Ladies European Tour.

The Saudi Ladies International will be the third event of the season kicking off on the first weekend of February (2-5) in Kenya.
