Will the Jets target a wide receiver to trade up in the draft?

The New York Jets do not have a second round pick in the upcoming draft, which has fueled speculation that they could want to move down in the draft in exchange for additional picks. However, the Jets could also use another blue-chip player (as could every team in the league), which could give them reason to move up rather than back.

This week, general manager Joe Douglas spoke about the possibility, confirming that it is under consideration to some degree.

From my perspective, this could make sense. Like I said before, every team could use another blue-chip player. If the Jets think a trade up (at a reasonable price) allows them to do that, and it can’t be done at 10, then trading up could be the right move. The key part at that point would be to get that pick right if they do it.

To me, the three players who could warrant this move would be offensive tackle Joe Alt and wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr and Rome Odunze. Sans that, I’d stay put based on my own player evaluations.

But what do you think? Are there any players you’d be willing to move up for? Let me know in the comments.
