The big Penn State left tackle is headed to the Big Apple

The New York Jets have traded picks No. 10 and No. 203 in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for picks No. 11, No. 129 and No. 157.

With the No. 11 overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Jets then selected offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu out of Pennsylvania State University.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu is a 21 year old, 6’ 6”, 315 pound offensive tackle. He was a two-year starter at Penn State who excelled in pass protection at left tackle. Fashanu had less success as a run blocker and may need some time to get up to speed in the NFL run game. With some additional strength and NFL refinements, Fashanu projects as a very good left tackle to lock down the Jets blind side pass protection for the next decade.

The Jets remaining picks in the 2024 NFL draft are as follows:

Third Round: Pick #72

Fourth Round: Pick #111

Fourth Round: Pick #129

Fourth Round: Pick #134

Fifth Round: Pick #157

Sixth Round: Pick #185

Seventh Round: Pick #257
