Where is Jacksonville slated to pick in next year’s NFL Draft?

The 2024 NFL Draft is all wrapped up. The Jacksonville Jaguars came away with 9 new players in its draft class and have already started signing undrafted free agents.

Before we proceed with coverage of the 2024-25 NFL season, here’s a look at where the Jaguars are lined up to pick in next year’s draft (with specific pick projections via Mock Draft Database).

  • Round 1 (pick 17)
  • Round 2 (pick 49)
  • Round 3 (pick 75)
  • Round 3 (pick 81) — via Minnesota
  • Round 4 (pick 107)
  • Round 4 (pick 113) — via Minnesota
  • Round 5 (pick 145)
  • Round 6 (pick 177)
  • Round 7 (pick 209)

The Jaguars added a 2025 third-rounder (projected as pick 81) and a 2025 fourth-rounder (projected as pick 113) in a masterclass trade with the Minnesota Vikings Thursday evening.

“You take what they give you,” general manager Trent Baalke expressed afterward. “There wasn’t an option for this year’s picks. We did get one extra pick in this year, a fifth-round pick. I believe it’s 167, so late in the fifth round. The value of those picks next year are solid. It’s a third-round pick, it’s a top 100 player. The other one is going to be in the top 120. Those are good football players. The value is good for us.”

As John Shipley and I foreshadowed on the latest Jaguar Report podcast, outside cornerback is set up to be the team’s biggest need in the 2025 offseason. The Jaguars added two rookies at the position in this year’s draft, but realistically, the corner room has an assortment of developmental players plus 30-year-old Ronald Darby and 24-year-old Tyson Campbell.

Campbell, who was selected 33rd overall in the 2021 draft, is entering the final season of his rookie contract.

The Jaguars were outpriced in the Jawaan Taylor sweepstakes in 2023 and drafted his immediate replacement in the first round in Anton Harrison. This year, Jacksonville was surprised by Calvin Ridley’s decision to leave in free agency and drafted his immediate replacement in the first round in Brian Thomas Jr.

Could the scenario repeat itself yet again with Tyson Campbell in 2025?
