Homelander Coming to Mortal Kombat 1 Soon

Mortal Kombat 1 has had a quieter few weeks, as we prepare for 2024’s big esports events to start up. However, in-game we’re about to get a big batch of content coming soon! NeverRealm has shown off Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1 in a new trailer. He’s the next DLC addition. He won’t be alone though. Another new character has been revealed as a Kameo addition in the same update.

We’ve known Homelander would be the next DLC addition to the game for a while now. The full first batch of MK 1 DLC characters was revealed before the game was even released. However, the timing has still been unknown, when Mortal Kombat 1 Homelander would release has been a mystery. Plus, we haven’t known much about how he’ll translate into the game.

The characters in Mortal Kombat 1 have some impressive powers. The first batch of DLC includes quite a few superpowered characters, including Homelander who is pretty overpowered in his source material. How will he translate into Mortal Kombat 1 and what can we expect when the character releases?

Homelander Coming to Mortal Kombat 1 Soon

Homelander will be the next character added to Mortal Kombat 1. He comes quite a while after Omni-Man got added as the first DLC character. However, we might be expecting him to show up in the game sooner rather than later now. NeverRealm Studios has shown off a teaser trailer for the character. We get to see how some of his iconic moves are translating into the game.

Also included in the teaser, is Ferra. She’ll be added to the game as a new Kameo Fighter! These aside assist characters have been interesting for gameplay, especially in events like the Pro Kompetition. However, they’re also a great way to see characters outside of the main cast in the game.

Homelander is the central antagonist in the Boys, a comic book turned into a live-action franchise on Amazon Prime. The show has spawned a number of memes, which has made Homelander a pretty iconic character.

When Does Homelander Release?

Homelander is our next Mortal Kombat 1 DLC character, when can we expect them in-game? We don’t actually have a release date yet. But there’s some clues.

It’s possible NeverRealm are going to try and time the release out with the launch of the new season of the Boys. That’s going to happen in June. The most likely Homelander Mortal Kombat 1 release date is June or July 2024! We could expect to see a release date confirmed around this time.
