GRID Hires 100 Thieves and YouTube Gaming Veterans

on

GRID, the world’s leading esports data provider, has announced two recent appointments that are set to bolster the firm’s leadership team. In one sweep, GRID has secured the veteran abilities and working knowledge of Tim Sevenhuysen (100 Thieves) and Julian Schwartz (YouTube Gaming, PUBG Corp). This will help boost the company’s already sharpened esports data prowess, and these new hires come off the back of a period of growth for GRID.

Recently, GRID revealed an all-new, industry-first ‘data portal’ for Rainbow Six Siege. This fresh product gives esports organisations the ability to track in-game data and statistics like never before, and it joins GRID’s Data Portal offerings alongside League of Legends and VALORANT.

Per the press release, Sevenhuysen joins GRID from 100 Thieves, assuming the role of Senior Business Data Consultant. At 100 Thieves, a leading esports and content organisation, Sevenhuysen was the Director of Esports Analytics. Former YouTube Gaming manager, Schwartz, will take up the mantle of VP – Business Development. In a statement, the CEO and Founder of GRID, Moritz Mauer, spoke highly of these new appointments:

‘It’s great to have experts in their domains join the team. Tim’s hands-on expertise will ensure a best-in-class experience for all esports teams working across the League of Legends, VALORANT, and Rainbow Six Siege GRID Data Portals. Having already worked with GRID data at 100 Thieves paired with an honest passion for esports, Tim is a perfect match. Together with. Julian’s high-level experience with top-tier publishers, platforms and partnerships; we aim to truly unlock the potential of in-game data by creating meaningful connections across the entire ecosystem — from rights holders through media partners to the single fan experience.’

Schwartz and Sevenhuysen will be focused on commercial and partnership activities, as well as helping to support organisations making use of GRID’s Data Portal ecosystem. GRID’s portfolio of services and products is expansive, and that ecosystem includes in-house tracking solutions, customised analytics models, and access to scrim data – which can otherwise sit behind closed doors. It’s the perfect platform for scouts, coaches, and even the pro players themselves.
