Every NFL Team’s 2024 Undrafted Free Agent Most Likely to Make the Roster | Bleacher Report

After spending time at Notre Dame, Texas and LSU, edge-rusher Ovie Oghoufo enters the NFL with as much experience as anyone in the class. Oghoufo is an aggressive, upfield pass-rusher with the athleticism and lateral agility to work the fringe areas. The Giants were tied for the fourth-fewest sacks last season, so it’s safe to say that they’re looking for more impact at the position.

2024 NFL draft questions: What were the best and worst picks? | ESPN

Who was your favorite pick in the entire draft?

Jeremy Fowler, national NFL writer: Wide receiver Malik Nabers to the New York Giants at No. 6. For all the hand-wringing about the Giants’ quarterback outlook, the truth is New York quarterbacks haven’t had a true top-10 receiver since Odell Beckham Jr. Nabers might have the highest ceiling of any offensive player in the draft. Several teams in the top 15 coveted him. Give quarterback Daniel Jones a chance with a guy of this caliber, and see what happens.

Round 3, Pick 70. New York Giants: CB Andru Phillips, Kentucky

The Giants drafted Deonte Banks in the first round of last year’s draft and now add more youth to that group early in the third round this year. His career-best 23 defensive stops led all SEC cornerbacks in 2023, and his 72.9 PFF coverage grade was also the best mark of his career.

Day 3 NFL Rookies Who Could Make Instant Impact | The 33rd Team

While Tyron Tracy, Jr., isn’t ready to be a full-time running back (146 career carries in college), he is an incredible athlete who is a threat to score on any play. Only Singletary is ahead of him on the depth chart, so Tracy should find a role right away. He is the most explosive running back on the roster and could have a Tony Pollard-like impact on the Giants in Year 1.

How did new kickoff rules affect NFL Draft? ‘You can either complain or adapt’ | The Athletic

A handful of teams acknowledged discussing kickoff strategies as part of their pre-draft meetings, with one noting it directly affected at least one of their draft selections. Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (New York Giants’ fifth-round pick) is an example of a draft pick who also bring with him kick return upside.

New York Giants: A Ton of Rookie Contributions Are On the Way At the Skill Positions

Offensively, Malik Nabers, the FBS leader in receiving grade in 2023, will immediately step in as their top threat. Fourth-rounder Theo Johnson is a size-speed weapon at tight end who was underutilized at Penn State. If Darren Waller retires this offseason, Johnson could push for the starting job with a good training camp showing. Former Purdue running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. could also compete for touches in a running back room that is thin behind Devin Singletary.

Who improved the most after the 2024 NFL Draft? Outlook for all 32 teams | The Athletic

The quarterback position will be under a microscope until it is settled, either by Daniel Jones or someone else. Outside of quarterback, the Giants have done a good job of improving their roster during free agency and the draft. They have a young, promising defensive core and an offense that has a chance to get back to at least league average after all the additions they’ve made, which includes top draft pick Malik Nabers.
