This marks the second Italian victory of the season following Edoardo Raffaele Lipparelli’s win at the previous New Giza Open in Cairo, and the third for Italian professionals with Matteo Manassero’s triumph at the Jonsson Workwear Open, an event on the DP World Tour back in March.

Rean Trinchero edged out Irishman Alex Maguire by one stroke, who finished second with 207 (-9) and had briefly led during the final round. Frenchman Benjamin Kedochim secured third place with 208 (-8). Among the top ten finishers were Adalberto Montini in seventh place with 211 (-5) and Flavio Michetti in ninth with 212 (-4), followed by Frenchman Sebastien Gandon and Swiss Luca Galliano tied for fifth with 210 (-6). Just behind them were Andrea Romano in 11th place with 213 (-3), Jacopo Vecchi Fossa in 14th with 214 (-2), and Manfredi Manica in 16th with 215 (-1), who relinquished the lead after the first two rounds.

The 28-year-old Aosta native, Rean Trinchero, faced a tough start with a 74 (+2) for 49th place, but a remarkable second round of 63 (-9, including ten birdies and one bogey), the day’s best score, propelled him to fifth place. He completed his comeback with a third-round score of 69 (-3), featuring four birdies and one bogey. This victory marks his second career title, following his win at the Fred Olsen Alps de La Gomera last year, which came after a less fortunate start in Egypt with a 45th place finish and two missed cuts. His climb from 71st to third place in the money list now positions him to aim for one of the coveted spots for the Challenge Tour that will be awarded to the top earners at the end of the year. For his triumph, he earned a prize of €6,525 from a total purse of €45,000.
