The Packers and Bears have changed a lot since Week 1. Do the Packers still hold the edge?

It’s all come down to this.

After an expected roller coaster of a season that’s played out in an unexpected way, the Green Bay Packers find themselves in the exact same place where they were a year ago.

Win their regular season finale and they punch a ticket to the playoffs

In fact, there are so many similarities to a year ago that it’s scary. Green Bay is at home and playing against a divisional rival that’s already been eliminated from postseason contention. Only this time they face the Chicago Bears instead of the Detroit Lions.

The biggest difference meanwhile is the Packers are led by a different quarterback. Jordan Love will try to do what Aaron Rodgers couldn’t a year ago and get a young Packers squad over the hump and into the playoffs.

Love’s first season as a starter started and now ends against the same team but that’s in name only. While Love is also a different quarterback than the Bears faced in Week 1, so too are the Bears a different team. Their defense is one of the league’s best over the past few weeks and their offense has shown a little bit of life.

In the latest episode of “For Cheddar or Wurst,” Lindsay and Kris take a look at this week’s game and believe that, while the Bears still suck, they don’t suck nearly as much as they did earlier this season.

Can the 2023 team succeed where last year’s team failed? Are the Packers getting healthy at the perfect time? Does Joe Barry’s group have one more solid performance in them?
