Every Team Is Locked In For The BLAST R6 Major Manchester

on

Following G2’s victory in the Europe LCQ, the stage is now set for the BLAST R6 Major to take place in Manchester, England later this month. It was a tense period in the Playoffs, with some of the biggest brands in Europe fighting frantically for the final spot at this prestigious tournament, which will run from the 16th to the 26th of May. There’s a $750,000 pot on the line, and now that every team is confirmed, the predictions can begin in earnest.

This is the first BLAST R6 Major to take place in the United Kingdom, which makes it historic enough. All eyes have been on the UK this year – and will continue to be so – as a stunning line-up of esports events has found its way onto the British Isles. From Counter-Strike to Halo, and from League of Legends to Rocket League, there’s something for everyone in the United Kingdom to enjoy in 2024.

  • Into The Breach – EU League
  • Team Secret – EU League
  • beastcoast – NA League
  • M80 – NA League
  • DarkZero Esports – NA League

  • CAG Osaka – Japan LCQ
  • FearX – South Korea LCQ

There are clear favourites to win the BLAST R6 Major, of course. At the top of the table sits FURIA Esports, which boasts the recent roster to lift the trophy at the Six Invitational. Following the biggest tournament in Rainbow Six esports, w7m let the team go, and FURIA decided to pick them up and re-enter the R6 esports scene. There are also intense expectations set up for FaZe Clan, the runner-up team at the Six Invitational and a long-time staple organisation in the Rainbow Six ecosystem.

Following G2 Esports’ stellar performance through the EU LCQ, there are some whispers that the squad is a contender for the number-one spot in Manchester. Last year, the team sensationally won the Six Invitational, and refusing to drop a point in the LCQ has shown just how sharp the team is ahead of the Major.

The action commences on May 16 – we’ll be covering the weekend of the final fixtures live and in person.
