Myles Harden was a 7th round pick in the 2024 NFL draft

The Cleveland Browns 2024 NFL draft class is not one that has brought a lot of excitement for fans or media. Overall, the Browns have gotten some, if not the, worst grades of any team from their NFL draft results.

Cleveland may have gotten a few players signed in undrafted free agency that could make the team but that hardly wows many people.

DT Michael Hall Jr. and OL Zak Zinter lead the Browns draft class which only sparks excitement for fans of The Game and the greatest rivalry in all of sports. After that, WR Jamari Thrash was the lone offensive weapon drafted and CB Myles Harden was the lone outside defender added to the team.

It is Harden that ESPN’s Field Yates believes is a steal for Cleveland (subscriber, $):

Harden was the 147th player on the board for me, so an 80-spot difference makes this a major value for Cleveland. He had a nose for the football in college, forcing four fumbles and picking off four passes over the past two seasons as a consistent disruptor.

Yates’ valuation of Harden would have projected him as a fifth-round selection while the consensus big board had him ranked as the 191st overall player, a late sixth-round value.

As the Browns first of two seventh-round selections, Harden could have a hard time making the roster but Yates is excited for Cleveland’s newest defensive back.

Does Yates’ valuation provide you with a little more excitement about Harden or is that not possible for a seventh-round pick?
