Drake is backing UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards at UFC 296.

The popular rapper, who is known to place big bets for UFC main events, is putting up $250,000 on Edwards to knock out Covington in the main event of Saturday’s UFC pay-per-view in Las Vegas.

If Drake wins the wager, he’ll collect $1.2 million. Drake adding the message “Head shot pls and thank you @leonedwardsmma” in his Instagram post.

Edwards responded in the comments “let’s get it.”

Drake recently lost $500,000 betting on Israel Adesanya to knock out Sean Strickland at UFC 293. Strickland won the fight via unanimous decision.

The bad blood between Edwards and Covington has escalated after Covington made remarks about Edwards’ father during the UFC 296 press conference Thursday evening, causing Edwards to throw a water bottle at Covington.

After ceremonial weigh-ins Friday, Edwards told the fans that Covington is “as good as dead” at UFC 296.
