Last night (April 22) on Raw, Dominik Mysterio showed up with his arm in a sling to tell Damian Priest he was “banged up” and wouldn’t be able to wrestle with JD McDonagh in the Judgment Day vs. Andrade & Ricochet match that was booked for the show.
Santos Escobar took his place, and the team lost as part of a not good night for The Judgement Day as a whole (which my man Marcus covered expertly in his review here).
It wasn’t all in service to storyline, however. According to Fightful, Dirty Dom is actually hurt. In addition to the change to Monday’s Raw line-up this week, Mysterio was replaced by Ricochet on last week’s tour of the United Kingdom because of the injury.
While the sling may have been a clue, there’s no word on the specifics of Dom’s injury or its severity — which means we also don’t have any reports on how long he’ll be out.
Hopefully it won’t be too long, as WWE and Judgment Day just lost Rhea Ripley to injury for the next few months as well. We’ll keep you posted.
