The Detroit Lions rookie minicamp begins on Friday, and along with that event, we will get our first look at what jersey numbers each of the 2024 rookies will be wearing.
This can be an exciting moment for Lions fans, especially with the new Lions jerseys available for purchase, but it may be prudent to exercise some caution because it’s commonplace for rookies to change their numbers early and often during their spring and training camps.
With that warning in mind, let’s take a look at which numbers each of the rookies were assigned.
Drafted rookies’ initial jersey numbers:
- CB Terrion Arnold: 0
- CB Ennis Rakestraw: 15
- OL Giovanni Manu: 59
- RB Sione Vaki: 33
- DT Mekhi Wingo: 94
- OG Christian Mahogany: 73
In addition to the Lions’ drafted rookies, they also have a deep undrafted rookie class, and those jersey numbers have also been revealed.

- TE Isaac Rex: 86
- C Kingsley Eguakun: 65

In case you missed it, just before the 2024 NFL Draft, the Lions also revealed the jersey numbers for their free agency acquisitions, along with number changes to any returning players from last season.
With these jersey updates, the Lions have the majority of the numbers assigned to the players on their 90-man roster. The only players currently signed that do not have their numbers revealed are recently signed C.J. Moore and Kyle Peko.
