Who would you say are the X-factors entering Sunday’s Cowboys game?

The Dallas Cowboys are rolling right now. They are not only one of the hottest teams in the NFL, they look like one of the best in it as well. Sparked by a MVP-worthy season from Dak Prescott, the Cowboys head into Week 15 fresh off a beatdown of the Philadelphia Eagles.

This week they head north to take on a Bills team that is fighting for their playoff lives. They come into the game 7-6 and have a chance to defend their home territory and continue a march back into a playoff spot. It has the recipe for a dangerous game, and a dangerous team with their backs up against the wall.

Let’s take a closer look at this matchup and see who, on both teams, may end up being X-factors for Sunday’s game.

Dallas Cowboys X-factor: Tony Pollard

Anytime you travel to the northeast in December, weather can be a factor. Some thought this could be a bitterly cold snow game, and something completely out of the Cowboys element. While it is not going to be anything like that, football in the mid-40s with rain and wind in the forecast is still an adjustment, and as a result the Cowboys may be calling on Tony Pollard a little more than usual.

The Cowboys may still have their chances for explosive plays, but it’s going to be about the ability to grind this one out and using weapons like Pollard. Rain, cold temps, wind, are all things that can alter a game plan. Be ready to call it and let Pollard haul it, if needed.

Buffalo Bills X-factor: Josh Allen

It is easy to point to a quarterback and say he’s an x-factor, but with Allen it just makes too much sense not to state it. A man who is one of the most talented QBs in the NFL, but also has the tendency to turn the football over at a high rate, is always going to be a big factor in a game.

Which Allen are you going to get? If he is on top of his game, he is tough to beat. If the Cowboys defense starts to force mistakes, then things could change rather quickly. The Bills go as Allen goes, and if Dan Quinn and the ‘Boys can frustrate him early and often, things could go south rather quickly.
