One of the greatest Denver Broncos of all-time has retired from the NFL. Here’s a huge Mile High Salute to you, Chris!

The No Fly Zone has seen another member hang ‘em up as Chris Harris Jr. has announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday after 12 seasons. The former undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos had himself a borderline Hall of Fame career, but those debates will undoubtedly come later.

Listening to him talk, I nearly teared up. He was a great Bronco and is a great man. Glad he came to Denver and helped that franchise win its third Super Bowl title. He finished his nine year career in Denver with 20 interceptions with four of those taken to the house. He also had an 86 passes defensed.

As a lifelong fan myself, I do remember that incredible Monday Night Football comeback where CHJ and Tony Carter dominated Philip Rivers to help engineer one of the greatest comebacks in MNF history. As a native California, I also remember the game he had a Derek Carr pass throw right into his gut in front of the silver & black crowd that he returned for the game-clinching touchdown in 2015.

So many good memories.

For me, I was already talking about the Ring of Fame with our fellow staffers this week and how we should be seeing some members of that legendary 2015 squad getting the nod. Chris Harris Jr. is absolutely a lock for that honor. Thank you for all of the great memories, CHJ! Broncos Country loves you!
