Kansas City thought highly of the big tackle. Too bad?

The rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals extends beyond the field, apparently.

Last offseason, Cincinnati wooed massive offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. away from Kansas City.

And according to The Athletic’s Nate Taylor, in the recent NFL Draft, the Chiefs were looking to move up more than 10 spots to grab Amarius Mims, who ended up a Bengal. But they failed to do so.

Instead, the Chiefs would end up with offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia out of BYU in Round 2. While rather large at 6-foot-4 and 326 pounds, he is still significantly smaller than Mims, who comes in at 6-foot-8 and 340 pounds.

Were the Chiefs looking for a replacement for Brown Jr., who is 6-foot-8 and over 340 pounds himself? If so, too bad. Because now the Bengals have both guys.
