Talk about night two of the NFL Draft here.
With one round in the books, the Chicago Bears are already the big winners in the 2024 NFL Draft, but there’s still some work to do.
Right now, the Bears are set to pick in the third round tonight at 75th overall, but we’ve seen general manager Ryan Poles maneuver around the board in his two years on the job. He may only have two picks remaining this year (75 and 122), but he has a lot of draft capital in 2025 if he wants to move up.
With quarterback and receiver addressed, it makes sense for the Bears to look at the trenches. So here are some linemen that our lead draft analyst, Jacob Infante, has ranked on his big board and could be in play at 75 overall.
• DT Michael Hall (No. 52)
• DT Braden Fiske (No. 54)
• OT Kiran Amegadjie (No. 58)
• DE Chris Braswell (No. 59)
• OT Kingsley Suamataia (No. 63)
• OG Christian Haynes (No. 65)
• DE Marshawn Kneeland (No. 67)
• DE Bralen Trice (No. 72)
• DT Mekhi Wingo (No. 75)
• C Sedrick Van Pran (No. 76)
• DT Maason Smith (No. 81)
• DT Tyler Davis (No. 82)
• OT Patrick Paul (No. 85)
• DE Adisa Isaac (No. 90)
Best players available on my board heading into Round 2:
1. Jer’Zhan Newton
2. Adonai Mitchell
3. Jackson Powers-Johnson
4. Cooper DeJean
5. Ladd McConkey
6. Troy Franklin
7. Cooper Beebe
8. Kool-Aid McKinstry
9. Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
10. Kris Jenkins— Jacob Infante (@jacobinfante24) April 26, 2024
The only players I’d consider a large trade up for if I’m the #Bears:
• Jer’Zhan Newton
• Jackson Powers-JohnsonI don’t have their medicals, but off tape alone, those guys are first-round talents. If your research comes back clean, they’re 100% worth moving up for.
