The Chargers look to be all-in on playing some “Har-Ball” this season as they chose to select the draft’s top offensive tackle in Joe Alt over the likes of an elite wide receiver in either Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze. The move expectedly was met with some skepticism as a tackle will not likely make as much of an instant impact as fans may have wanted but it does potentially bode well for the team’s near future. After all, teams like the Chiefs, Ravens, and Eagles have been able to truly grab the best players available due to each team having solidified their offensive lines years in advance of this draft class. If the Chargers can somehow figure the unit out at some point this season, you can likely expect the next few drafts to become more and more fun to watch.
