Ali Carter has taken pole position in the race to win the huge £150,000 BetVictor Series bonus at the end of next week’s BetVictor Welsh Open, but no fewer than ELEVEN players still have a chance to earn the extra cash windfall.

Carter’s victory in the BetVictor German Masters earned him £80,000 and boosted him to the top of the BetVictor Series rankings with a total of £119,000. He has also already qualified for next week’s event in Llandudno, adding £3,000 to his tally.

The race started out at the BetVictor Championship League in July and next week’s tournament in North Wales is the eighth and final counting event. The player who tops the series rankings come the end of the final on Sunday February 19th with enjoy a massive bank balance uplift.
