Round 2: Offensive line will need immediate depth with future starting capabilities
With the Cleveland Browns needing quality depth (and future starters) at both the offensive guard and offensive tackle positions, look no further than the second and third rounds in this year’s NFL draft for some developmental pieces.
Versatility in his toolbox is a plus with a player who can play both sides, that is every bit Kiran Amegadjie. He played in the Ivy League, so the competition may not be up to par and will need some development at the next level.
He would come to a roster that currently has three starting-caliber offensive tackles with Jack Conklin, Jed Wills and Dawand Jones, with James Hudson as a backup. However, Wills is in his final year and Conklin is under contract through 2026. Hudson has had a roller coaster of a career while Jones should start this year.

The fact is that Amegadjie looked great against Penn, Brown, and Colgate. He would find out right quick that playing against the Baltimore Ravens is an entirely different animal.
An excellent tackle that will start soon, Amegadjie has been one of the Browns predraft visits this year.

Amegadjie is an excellent fit for the Browns, especially if they keep Conklin. It would provide Cleveland with a developmental tackle option that needs a year or two to develop before starting. Amegadjie is a modern NFL tackle with great athleticism, length, and enough power. He is scheme versatile and could play guard or tackle in the NFL, possibly on both sides. He has also been praised for his football IQ, smarts, and ability as a quick learner. The biggest issue with Amegadjie is the jump in competition. Going from playing at Yale to the NFL is a significant jump, and with so much projection, his evaluation can be a bit muddied.
