Amari Cooper, Dustin Hopkins lead the list as Cleveland prepares for the Houston Texans in the NFL playoffs

The story of the Cleveland Browns regular season has been injuries. The team and fanbase are hoping that the story of the postseason is health starting with not playing key players in Week 18. A couple of players were hurt during that game but the team was successful in resting a majority of their key starters and contributors.

Cleveland’s playoff schedule included their first practice on Tuesday.

All year long, the Browns have played it safe with important players nicked up but, on the first day of playoff practice, there is concern that seven players were unable to or didn’t practice due to some kind of injury:

  • WR Amari Cooper – Heel and rest
  • K Dustin Hopkins – Hamstring
  • RB Kareem Hunt – Groin
  • CB Greg Newsome II – Knee
  • RB Pierre Strong – Back
  • WR Cedric Tillman – Concussion
  • S Juan Thornhill – Calf

HC Kevin Stefanski provided a concerning update on Hopkins:

Tillman and Strong were hurt during Week 18 while Hunt played despite battling injuries all year long.

Cooper, Hopkins, Newsome and Thornhill missed Week 18 due to their injuries and hoping to get them healthy for the playoffs.

We will have the full injury report after practice later this afternoon.

Are you concerned with the above list or won’t get worried until the final injury report on Thursday?
