Best available players broken into positions for Cleveland’s Round 2 and 3

The Cleveland Browns will likely be on the clock around 9 PM Friday night for the first time in the 2024 NFL draft. We’ve already brought you a two-round Day 2 Browns mock draft shortly after Round 1 ended on Thursday night.

Cleveland GM Andrew Berry seems more likely to move from pick #54 than to keep it. A few years ago, LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah fell out of the first round and down a few picks before Berry moved up to get him. While Browns (and most fanbases) hate trading down, Berry is open to that as well.

Trying to figure out who is left on Berry’s board is darn near impossible but we do want to try to give you an idea of the players we think he would be interested in. Here are the top 30, or so, best available players for Cleveland (not overall) left in the NFL draft broken down by position:

Wide Receiver

  • Troy Franklin, Oregon
  • Adonai Mitchell, Texas
  • Keon Coleman, Florida State
  • Roman Wilson, Michigan
  • Ladd McConkey, Georgia
  • Ja’Lynn Polk, Washington
  • Malachi Corley, Western Kentucky

Offensive Line

  • Kingsley Suamataia, BYU
  • Kiran Amegadjie, Yale
  • Blake Fisher, Notre Dame
  • Roger Rosengarten, Washington

Tight End

Running Back

  • Jaylen Wright, Tennessee
  • Trey Benson, Florida State
  • Jonathon Brooks, Texas
  • Audric Estime, Notre Dame
  • Braelon Allen, Wisconsin

Defensive Tackle

  • Johnny Newton, Illinois
  • Michael Hall Jr., The Ohio State
  • Kris Jenkins, Michigan
  • Ruke Orhorhoro, Clemson
  • Braden Fiske, Florida State

Defensive End

  • Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan
  • Jonah Elliss, Utah
  • Austin Booker, Kansas

Linebacker

Cornerback

  • Cooper DeJean, Iowa
  • Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama
  • Max Melton, Rutgers

This year’s draft class is deep despite lacking some of the top end talent at certain positions. With that in mind, Berry might be looking to get a player like Newton who has fallen with a trade-up. If not, a trade down to try to get two or three, instead of just one, of the above players makes a lot of sense.

Who are you one or two favorite players for the Browns in the list above?
