With their disappointing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in the season finale, the Denver Broncos are not fully looking ahead to next season. With the AFC West seeding determined, we can now see who they’ll be playing and where they’ll be playing next year. We just won’t know any other details than that until the NFL releases its full schedule.
Looking over this list, the 2024 Broncos will be playing quite a few playoff teams from this season. Overall, I think they got the easier slate of games at home, but their road games are absolutely brutal in some areas. The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals figure to be a problem and the New Orleans Saints could be tough too. Derek Carr knows the Broncos well.
The issue really is how poorly Denver plays at home. They lost critical home games to subpar teams all season. That cost them a chance to make a playoff run in 2023. Will that change in 2024? That is a huge ‘to be determined’. First things first: finding another quarterback.
