Bron Breakker will be even more pissed off thanks to Triple H

Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside, we do a stock report.

In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included WWE King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia, a lot of fortunes were changed.

With that in mind, let’s see whose stock decreased the most this week:

Stock Down #3: AJ Styles

It was kind of sad watching a great wrestler like AJ Styles essentially begging Nick Aldis on SmackDown to give him another championship match. Aldis didn’t give AJ what he wanted, which prompted Styles to indicate that he’s running out of time. Perhaps this is the start of a retirement angle for Styles, but for now he just comes off as desperate and unable to get the job done anymore.

Stock Down #2: Bronson Reed

Reed has basically been a third wheel for the entire Sami Zayn / Chad Gable story, and the big man even took the fall in their triple threat match in Saudi Arabia at King and Queen of the Ring. Reed has said multiple times that 2024 will be his breakout year in WWE, but we are approaching June and he has yet to come close to delivering on those words.

Stock Down #1: Damage CTRL

Former WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY was bounced out of the Queen of the Ring tournament on Raw despite being a big favorite to beat Lyra Valkyria. IYO’s stablemates Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai also came up empty on Raw in their bid to become the number one contenders to the WWE Women’s tag team titles. On top of that, Asuka is taking a break from WWE to heal up, so almost nothing is going right for Damage CTRL right now.

Now let’s see whose stock increased the most this week:

Stock Up #3: Bron Breakker

Bron took squashing jobbers to a new level on this week’s Raw when he decimated the poor jabroni and sent him out on a stretcher. Breakker’s warpath continued backstage, where he destroyed Ricochet in an unprovoked attack. Bron took out his anger on these guys as a result of Adam Pearce’s bad decision to leave him out of the King of the Ring tournament.

Keep in mind that all of this happened days before Triple H made the announcement that the winner of the King of the Ring tournament gets a world title match at SummerSlam. Now that Bron knows exactly what he missed out on by not being included in the tournament, he has an even better reason to snap and send someone else out on a stretcher tomorrow night on Raw.

Stock Up #2: Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan completed her revenge tour by defeating Becky Lynch in Saudi Arabia to become the new Women’s World Champion. Now that Morgan has the gold, there’s a decent chance she will hold on to it until Rhea Ripley is ready to return and come after her.

Stock Up #1: Nia Jax & GUNTHER

Nia’s push went away by late March on the road to WrestleMania 40, but it’s back in full force thanks to her victory in the Queen of the Ring tournament. Jax now has a WWE Women’s Championship match lined up for SummerSlam, which means she will receive a major spotlight on television for at least the next couple of months.

GUNTHER rebounded from his WrestleMania loss by beating Randy Orton and winning the King of the Ring tournament, so he also has a World Heavyweight Championship match in August at SummerSlam (unless the controversial ending to the match changes things). It looks WWE didn’t waste any time moving GUNTHER up the card and right into the main event scene after dropping the Intercontinental championship in April.

There you have it, Cagesiders. Whose stock do you think changed the most this week?
