How to bet the Thursday Night Football game

Mitchell Trubisky has a chance to do the funniest thing…

We’re in Week 14 and Amazon has to a little disappointed in this week’s matchup as the Pittsburgh Steelers host the New England Patriots in a game with one of the lowest betting total lines I’ve ever seen at 30. Let’s just get this out of the way – I locked in the under early in the week at 32 and it’s dropped a couple since then. I think the under is still live. The last three Patriots games have totaled 16, 17, and 6 points. They cannot move the ball but do have a good defense. They are starting backup quarterback Bailey Zappe. The Pittsburgh Steelers have not been able to light up the scoreboard this year either, scoring more points than only the Pats and Jets this year. They are starting backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Channel the Iowa Hawkeyes, take the under.

As for the game, I don’t have much confidence in New England to actually win a game on the road but I imagine the game play will be a rock fight, coming down to the end swung by a big defensive play for one of the teams. I’ll take the Steelers to find a way to win but the Pats to find a way to cover. Now, if Mitchell Trubisky can find a way to lose this one, it would help create some separation between the Patriots, who currently own the number 2 overall pick in next year’s draft, and the Panthers pick owned by the Bears currently sitting at number 1 overall. So, I’m cheering for myself to be wrong on the money line. Sometimes your heart and brain pull you in opposite directions. Go Pats.
