As the 2024 NFL Draft closes, the Cincinnati Bengals, like every other team in the league, will be busy scrambling for the very talented players who did not receive a call from a head coach or GM during the draft week. Front offices will be busy calling agents of players they like and trying to sign them as undrafted free agents.

While the majority of our focus is on the draft, and rightly so, there are some very talented players still available who could go on to do great things in the league. Some names you may be very familiar with, like Antonio Gates, Tony Romo, and Kurt Warner, were undrafted free agents, and the Bengals have had some prolific undrafted free agents throughout their past as well.

Current Bengals Jalen Davis, Mike Hilton, Trenton Irwin, Cal Adomitis, and Joe Bachie were all undrafted free agents, as were former linebacker Vontaze Burfict, center Kyle Cook, and Alex Erickson.

The news will be coming in fast on undrafted free agents because there is no draft order anymore. It’s a free-for-all!

Just because a player worked out for the Bengals or even because they visited, it doesn’t mean they’ve signed a contract. Those contracts likely won’t be signed until Monday.
