How quickly they forget.
Ja’Marr Chase is one of the very best receivers in the NFL.
AJ Green was one of the very best receivers in the NFL in his own day.
So it should be no surprise that their numbers look similar after three years.
And yet, some are using Green’s stats as a knock on Chase. Unbelievable.
Is Ja’Marr Chase overhyped? pic.twitter.com/r89BvLRISO

Thankfully, the over-12-years-old demographic of Twitter (X) came to Green’s defense.
Do you guys know how good AJ Green was lol https://t.co/J5meQDKLcE

AJ Green would be getting suited for an gold jacket if he could stay healthy and if Andy Dalton knew how to throw an more accurate deep ball
AJ was him
No Chase isn’t overhyped , he’s ridiculously good
Both these dudes were special

Let’s not forget that Green came into the league on a team that wasn’t expected to contend for the NFL playoffs with a rookie QB drafted in the second round (Andy Dalton).
It was Green who jumpstarted the Marvin Lewis offense and made absolutely absurd plays that lifted the Bengals to victory at times when games seemed out of hand.
Yes, the end of his career in Cincinnati was less than stellar, but injuries had taken their toll. By the time Joe Burrow arrived, Green just wasn’t the same player.
Still, that’s no excuse to forget just how great his prime was.
In other news, Burrow is throwing again. We talk about his return to practice in the video below:
