Chase is now signed through the 2025 NFL season.

The Cincinnati Bengals have exercised the fifth-year option of Ja’Marr Chase, the team announced Wednesday. The team’s 2021 first-round NFL Draft pick now is signed through the 2025 NFL season.

Set to be a fourth-year player in the 2024 season, Chase has played and started 45 regular-season games for Cincinnati. He has caught 268 passes for 3717 yards and 29 touchdowns, leading the team in each category in each of the past three seasons.

The former LSU Tigers star was named the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year following the 2021 season. He’s been selected to the Pro Bowl three times.

Last season, Chase caught a career-high 100 passes, tying for the second most in a season in team history, to go with 1,216 yards and seven scores. He is one of eight players in NFL history to reach the 1000-yard receiving mark in each of his first three career seasons.

Chase has started seven games in the NFL Playoffs for the Bengals. He’s already the team’s postseason career leader in receptions (45) and receiving yards (588).
