Linked for another year and a half with Bayern Munich, Benjamin Pavard has come out of silence on his future with the German club. In an interview with Sports1, the French defender made things clear about his intentions. The 2018 world champion is not thinking of leaving the Allianz Arena. “I never said I wanted to leave. I know very well that I am in a very big club. I feel very comfortable here, I love the club and the fans, and I hope we will achieve great things this season.”

The answer to the Inter Milan track

The 26-year-old also returned to his winter transfer window. Announced on the shelves of Inter Milan, then in search of a new profile to compensate for a possible departure from Milan Skriniar, targeted by Paris Saint-Germain, the native of Maubeuge never thought of slamming the door of the reigning German champion. “I’m not one to leave in the middle of the trip. My goal was to stay at Bayern. I am determined to give my all for the club and for the team and I want to win as many titles as possible with Bayern.”

Suspended against PSG

Recruited during the summer of 2019 against a check for 35 million euros, Benjamin Pavard has since played 148 games in all competitions and scored 9 goals, for 29 appearances and 4 goals in 2022-2023. Expelled against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League, won 1-0 by the formation of Julian Nagelsmann at the Parc des Princes, the former Lille player will be suspended for the second round scheduled next Wednesday at the Allianz arena.
