Pakistan hockey team left to participate in Olympics qualifier event. President PHF Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti along with PHF staff sent off the team and officials with best wishes, on behalf of President PHF on the provision of financial resources and support to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and Pakistan Sports. A vote of thanks was given to the board. National hockey players were flown by Air Sial with special package and protocol.
The national hockey team has left to participate in the Olympic qualifiers to be held in Muscat, Oman from January 15 to 21. President PHF Mir Tariq Bugti sent off the team officials in Islamabad and the players from the PHF headquarters in Lahore with good wishes. Head coach Olympian Shahnaz Shaikh and Olympian Shakeel Abbasi were sent off in Islamabad by President PHF Mir Tariq Bugti with good wishes. On this occasion, Head Coach, Olympian Shahnaz Shaikh specially thanked the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Liaison, including DG Sports Board Shoaib Khoso, saying that it was a difficult task which would not have been possible without the support of the government. The sports board provided the best facilities and took care of the players.
President PHF Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti said that I am especially thankful to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwarul Haq Kakar for providing resources for the national sport. He expressed special thanks to Federal Minister Fawad Hasan Fawad, Ministry of Inter-Provincial Co-operation and DGP PSB for providing resources to the national hockey team to participate in the Olympic Qualifier event.
On behalf of PHF Headquarters Lahore, Director Administration and Coordination Olympian Khalid Bashir, Member National Hockey Selection Committee Olympian Nasir Ali, Executive Secretary PHF Ali Abbas, FIH Technical Official Ziauddin Khan Barki, FIH Empires Manager Hafiz Atif Malik. sent off the players of the national hockey team with best wishes. World-renowned penalty corner specialist Olympian Khalid Bashir advised the players to perform enthusiastically and fully for the country. Olympian Nasir Ali while addressing the players said that you are going to represent Pakistan, a country with a glorious past in the world of hockey, in the Olympic Qualifier event.
