On the night in Salalah, Oman positions in both groups were defined.

INDIA 17 VS THAILAND 0 (POOL A)

The first match of the night was between India and Thailand where both needed and wanted the 3 points to define their positions in the standings.

The Indian national team needed to win to have a partial first place, knowing that they had to score a lot of goals due to the difference between first and second place.

Thailand, on the other hand, was looking for another three points to try to reach the third place, but it was difficult to stop the team in white that scored 17 goals from the 13th to the 56th minute.

India’s goals came from Singh Angad Bir x4, Rawat Yogember,SINGH Uttamx2,Lakra Amandeep x2,Hundal Araijeet Singh, SINGH Vishnukant,Dhami Boby Singh,TIWARI Sharda Nand,Amandeep,Rohit,Lakra Sunit and Rajinder Singh. Six of those goals were penalty corners, and the rest were field goals from the circle.

With this result India secured their place in the semi-final and Thailand will have to settle for fourth place in Pool A.

The best player of the match was Singh Angad Bir who scored four goals.

KOREA 3 VS BANGLADESH 1 (POOL B)

The second match of Pool B was between Korea and Bangladesh. Both wanted and needed to take advantage of each other to finalize their positions in the group.

Neither of them made it easy for their opponents and it was after 11 minutes of play that LIM Dohyun made it 1-0 for the blue team to dream about the second place in Pool B.

On the other hand, the red team tried to break their opponents’ lines, but they could not break the defense of the team led by JANG Young. Korea did not leave a minute without trying to move forward and generating deep passes to reach the Bangladesh goalkeeper’s circle. It was at the 36th minute when PARK Geonwoo made it 2-0 to give his team some breathing space with two quarters to go.

The green side had their chances, but Korea’s goalkeeper had an impressive performance to prevent more goals for his team. In the 54th minute KIM Minkwon sealed the match with a 3-0 score, while 4 minutes later HASAN Md scored the only goal for his team.

The three points went to Korea who remains comfortably in second place in POOL B, while Bangladesh occupies the third place.

The best player of the match was KIM Sookyo, Korea’s goalkeeper who had a match to remember.
