AEW Dynamite ratings go down without WWE star CM Punk on the show

The ratings and viewership data are in for this week’s (Apr. 17) episode of AEW Dynamite.

Per Wrestlenomics, Dynamite netted 762,000 viewers and a 0.26 rating with the 18-49 year old demographic. These numbers are down compared to last week’s 819K and 0.30, respectively.

The numbers predictably dropped without the hook of security camera footage of any AEW backstage fights. Tony Khan has yet to post on social media about these results, so he’s probably still waiting to receive the “good job” call from his network partner TBS regarding his decision to book Will Ospreay vs. Claudio Castagnoli in the main event.

The ratings and viewership numbers for the Dynasty go home show didn’t quite fall to the relative low points from the Dynamite episodes on March 27 and April 3, but the NBA playoffs are now beginning, which means the competition is about to heat up.
