Emblematic president of French football and the history of OM, Bernard Tapie could see a statue erected in his honor not far from the Vélodrome. In effect, Provence reveals this Thursday that Laurent Tapie, son of the late businessman with multiple hats, would have launched this commemorative work project in memory of his father.
On this symbolic date of May 26, 2023, the 30th anniversary of OM’s coronation in the Champions League, Laurent Tapie has launched the opening of an online kitty with the aim of financing this major project, estimated at €250,000. Provence specifies that Fabien Barthez, Basile Boli, Marcel Desailly, Didier Deschamps, Éric Di Meco and Franck Sauzée have all given the green light to appear alongside the “Boss” on this work.
