The Detroit Lions landed two first-team and three second-team All-Pros for the 2023-24 season.

The Associated Press announced their 2023 All-Pro teams on Friday afternoon, and five Detroit Lions received honors: two to the first-team All-Pro list, and three to the second-team All-Pro list.

Here’s a breakdown of the Lions winners:

First team All-Pro

RT Penei Sewell

Sewell makes the list for the first time in his career after a dominant 2023 season. While he finished as the No. 1 offensive lineman in PFF grade, it’s still a bit surprising to see him make it over second-team All-Pro Lane Johnson. According to the Lions PR department, Sewell is joins Lomas Brown as the only Lions first-team All-Pro offensive lineman since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown

Despite getting snubbed from the Pro Bowl, St. Brown amazingly joins the first-team All-Pro team for the first time in his career. He is among three receivers who received the honors, with Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb and Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill. Also per the Lions PR, St. Brown joins Calvin Johnson and Herman Moore as the Lions only wide receivers to be named first-team All-Pro.

Second team All-Pro

TE Sam LaPorta

The rookie tight end finished second in voting behind 49ers TE George Kittle. LaPorta had a record-breaking rookie season with 86 catches for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns.

C Frank Ragnow

Finishing behind Eagles center Jason Kelce, this is the first time Ragnow has made an All-Pro team. The Lions center has battled through injuries all season, but despite the struggle, he finished first in PFF grade among all NFL centers.

ST Jalen Reeves-Maybin

After being named to the Pro Bowl earlier this month, Reeves-Maybin follows it up with the first All-Pro honor of his career. Reeves-Maybin is tied for the league in special teams tackles, not to mention the pair of fake punt conversions he has this season.
