Trader Joe strikes again

The New York Jets have traded Picks # 185 and 190 in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for Pick #171 and selected quarterback Jordan Travis.

Joe Douglas continues to earn his nickname Trade Joe.

Jordan Travis is a soon to be (May 2) 24 year old, 6’ 1”, 201 pound quarterback out of the Florida State University.

Travis is an experienced prospect with 38 college starts and 29 wins. He is undersized and coming off a season-ending leg injury. He has excellent sped and running skills. Travis is the only player in Florida State history with more than 50 passing touchdowns and at least 12 rushing touchdowns. He has made strides over the years as a pocket passer, and he shows good accuracy when his mechanics are sound and he gets the ball out in rhythm. His quickness and speed make him a threat on designed runs and when he scrambles.

Travis projects as a developmental quarterback who can spend a year or two learning behind Aaron Rodgers before possibly being given the opportunity to start for the Jets.

With this trade the Jets now have the following remaining picks in the 2024 NFL Draft:

Fifth Round Pick #176

Seventh Round: Pick #257
