Another offensive lineman for the purple

The Minnesota Vikings have made their second-to-last pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they have once again chosen to add to the offensive line room.

With the 230th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected center Michael Jurgens from Wake Forest University.

The Vikings have had former first-round pick Garrett Bradbury at the center spot for the past few years, but he has had some significant struggles with injuries over the past couple of seasons, particularly with his back. Perhaps the selection of Jurgens will give the Vikings someone that can push Bradbury for that spot and, at the very least, serve as a backup with the offseason departure of last year’s backup in Austin Schlottmann.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic has Jurgens as the #19 center player in this year’s draft class. No scouting report on him from Mr. Brugler, unfortunately, but we will have more on this selection and the team’s other selections over the course of the next few days.

Welcome to Minnesota, Michael!
