What is the Aspect of Agility in Fortnite?

on

One of the latest quests in Fortnite isn’t pushing players to do some obscure challenge or use part of the new collab, instead you’ve got to track down an Aspect of Agility. It’s an item that’s been in the game since the launch of Chapter 5 Season 2, but a lot of players might have never picked it up. What is the Aspect of agility, what does it do, and where can you find it?

What is the Aspect of Agility in Fortnite?

One big new mechanic for Chapter 5 that wasn’t in past Fortnite seasons are medallions, or Aspects as they’ve been renamed this season. These are new items that boss characters drop once you take them down. They aren’t a Mythic weapon with better stats. Instead, they’re a standalone item that doesn’t take up an inventory slot and gives you a special benefit.

Holding one aspect will mean there’s a yellow bounty circle around you on the map. As you get more medallions, your location will be smaller and smaller on the map. The Aspect of agility itself has a fairly simple use, it gives you the power of the green skulls. Like those you’ll get from going in the water in the Underworld and Grim Gate but refreshing across the entire game.

Once you’re holding the Aspect of Agility, you’ll get the teleport jumps you get with skulls. A new one regenerates every few seconds. It also negates fall damage if you use the effect at the right time. It’s a useful aspect, maybe the most powerful in the game right now. These POIs are some of the best Fortnite landing spots for these skulls, so getting them all game is pretty OP.

Where Can You Find the Aspect of Agility?

The Aspect of Agility is just one of four available on the current map. Each is dropped by a different boss in-game. The Aspect of Agility specifically is dropped by Cerebus at Grim Gate. The gatekeeper of the underworld will drop the Medallion along with a Mythic weapon Gaekeeper Shotgun.

The fight with Cerebus is one of the simpler ones this season. Like the others, it’s begun by knocking over a statue in the center of the POI. Then, you’ll face two waves of wolves. Each wolf is locked into a howling animation at first, which means you can likely destroy them before they get close.

Then, Cerebus will then spawn in.

He’s tougher than the wolves, but like them is prone to howling which lets you get a lot of damage in. Build or take cover to avoid his melee combo and you should be able to simply take down Cerebus.

Once you do that, the Aspect of Agility will drop within a few seconds You can pick it up to utilize its effects, it doesn’t even take up an inventory slot.

Why Do You Need the Zeus Medallion in Fortnite?

The Aspect of Agility has obvious uses in giving you more movement options, why are players particularly obsessed with it right now though? There’s a current questline that has players travel distance while holding this or the Aspect of Siphon.

Out of the two, Agility is the easier fighter. With its regenerating skulls, it also makes it simple to get the quest completed. It’s worth trying the Aspect in a game that you intend to win in Fortnite though. The skulls are one of the most useful tools in the game right now. The medallion can set you up for a Victory Royale.

The Aspect of Agility allows you to make use of the season’s best mechanic periodically, no matter which POI you’re sat in. It’s a big advantage in the rest of the match.
