on

There will be at least two French players at Pinehurst (North Carolina) from June 13th to 16th this year. In addition to Matthieu Pavon, ranked 21st globally, Victor Perez will also be present at this 3rd Major of the season, a month after competing in the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club (May 16-19).

Victor Perez, news

Despite his 94th place in the latest updated ranking as of April 28th, the Tarbais has already secured his ticket for the 124th US Open in history by finishing among the top two players not yet exempt from the Race to Dubai 2023. Seventh on the DP World Tour, he also benefits from the departure of Polish player Adrian Meronk to the LIV Golf, who finished 4th in the same Race in 2023.

At the RBC Canadian Open before the US Open… Taking a few days off at home in the Bahamas after missing the cut at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (teaming up with American Daniel Berger), Victor Perez will play the Myrtle Beach Classic next week in South Carolina before heading to Louisville (Kentucky) for the 106th PGA Championship.

He will then be seen in Hamilton (Ontario) for the RBC Canadian Open (May 30th-June 2nd) before the US Open at Pinehurst, the famous course number 2 that he will discover for the first time in his career. We might also see him at the Memorial Tournament (June 6-9), but that will depend on his results leading up to this 7th Signature Event of the season.

It’s worth noting that only the top 60 in the world rankings (as of May 20th and June 10th) will be invited to the US Open, along with various qualifiers from the 13 qualification sites between May 20th and June 3rd, including the one at Walton Heath (England) scheduled for May 20th over 36 holes. There will be at least two French players at Pinehurst.
