Joey Ryan took to Twitter earlier this week and posted about his negative experiences in the WWE as an extra in his early days due to the perception that he was coming for the established stars’ jobs:
When I started wrestling, WWE roster guys were told “these indie guys are coming for your jobs” so as extra talent, we got treated like dirt. Now these WWE roster guys are quitting their jobs and coming for our indie money.

When Lance Storm responded and insinuated that Ryan was unfairly drawing a conclusion, Velvet Sky stepped in and detailed her past experiences as well. According to Sky, she was forced to change in the men’s locker room because a specific WWE female star thought that she was a threat to her:

Shit ur lucky u got the broom closet. Lol In ‘06 I was invited there as an extra & a certain female wrestler had me kicked out of the divas locker room by the makeup lady & made me change in the men’s bathroom w/ a bunch of dude extras cuz I was a “threat” to her job. Fun times.

When a fan responded by stating that he believed that she was a threat, Sky responded to stating that it was not the case, as she this was before her TNA days and she wasn’t yet a known commodity:
No I’m not & wasn’t. This was way before TNA. Following my dream to try and make it happen, & the hard times I was given back then at that place was discouraging & disheartening. Joey wasn’t wrong in his tweet. That stuff went on for a lot of Indy guys & girls trying to make it.
