on

You rely on your crosshair a lot when you play VALORANT, but what happens when it suddenly goes missing from the game? This is the annoying issue that many VALORANT players are dealing with as their crosshairs are getting wiped out, especially after Patch 8.08. So, what is the reason behind the VALORANT crosshair disappearing glitch and how can you fix it? Let’s find out.

What is causing the crosshair disappearing glitch in VALORANT?

Every time you launch the game, your VALORANT crosshairs are getting wiped out by a weird bug. This glitch appears to be more frequent after the VALORANT Patch 8.08 that delivered huge nerfs to Viper and Cypher. Many players reported this issue on VALORANT’s subreddit and said that a simple restart did not solve it.

In fact, a Reddit user said, “Someone in my ranked said their crosshairs disappeared and then next game all my crosshairs disappeared”.

Riot Games has acknowledged this issue and said that they’re planning to stop your crosshair profiles from disappearing with a fix in Patch 8.09. However, it’s worth mentioning that it won’t recover your crosshair profiles that you’ve built up over time. So, if you’re affected by this bug, you’ll never see your old crosshair profiles again even after Patch 8.09 is released.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to fix this glitch until VALORANT Patch 8.09 is released. It will probably come by the second week of May. However, we suggest backing up all of your favorite crosshair profiles for the time being, so that you can restore them in the next update. Follow these steps to back up your crosshair:

  1. Open VALORANT and go to the settings menu.
  2. Navigate to the crosshair section within the settings.
  3. Look for the “Crosshair Profile” option.
  4. Next to the “Crosshair Profile” option, you’ll find an “Export” button.
  5. Click on the “Export” button.
  6. The crosshair code will be automatically copied to your clipboard.
  7. Paste it into a notepad and save it on your desktop for future use.

That’s all you need to know about the VALORANT crosshair disappeared bug. If you’re wondering how to use VALORANT’s Raw Input Buffer feature, then we’ve got you covered.
