The superstars of the world’s game will thrill thousands of spectators at OVO Arena, Wembley from 1 – 10 May 2026 as the Championships returns to the birthplace city of the ITTF and the World Championships 100 years ago.

With 30,000-plus spectators expected at the biggest table tennis event in England for a generation, you can make sure you are among the first to hear about further updates, including ticket releases, by registering your interest here.

The confirmation of the dates marks a significant milestone as preparations to host an incredible event ramp up.

What has happened so far?

England was awarded the flagship tournament at the ITTF Annual General Meeting  last August, where delegates voted for London to host the event. Click here to watch our bid presentation.

The ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals 2026 will be supported by UK Sport and the Greater London Authority.

The Event Delivery Board for the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals 2026 is in the process of being established.

The London Organising Group has been created to support the 2026 legacy programme and community impact across the capital.

In addition, and in line with UK Sport guidance, Table Tennis International Events Ltd has been established with responsibility for the oversight and delivery of the exciting calendar of major events planned to be hosted in England along with the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships 2026.

Ed Warner and Richard Scruton were respectively appointed as Chairs of the Event Delivery Board for the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals 2026 and of Table Tennis International Events Ltd.

WTT Feeder Manchester was successfully delivered in February this year as the first WTT event to be staged in England. More than 2,000 tickets were sold for the event, feedback from the players was overwhelmingly positive, and overall it was a great start for all partners working together, building skills and experience which will be invaluable for the years to come.

What are the next steps?

With recruitment to the Event Delivery Board to be finalised shortly, we will have a team in place to deliver our ambitions across athlete experience, fan journey, commercial partnerships and delivery, marketing and communication and community engagement & social impact.

Both the Event Delivery Board and Table Tennis International Events Boards are due to meet for the first time in the coming weeks and will begin to work with our partners including the ITTF & WTT, UK Sport, the Greater London Authority and OVO Arena.

The ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals 2026 and the ITTF centenary celebrations will live on far beyond the exhilarating atmosphere in the OVO Arena itself. A new generation of players, officials, volunteers and fans across the country will be created so make sure you stay tuned for more updates, announcements, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content as we embark on this unforgettable journey together by joining our mailing list.  Join us on the road to Wembley!
