Interesting choices.
Round 3 of the NFL Draft has concluded for the Cincinnati Bengals.
With two selections, the Bengals chose to go with Jermaine Burton out of The University of Alabama and then get back to the trenches with Texas A&M defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Burton pick:

Zac looks a little excited. Pretty sure he just put a crack in that desk.

Appears to be some risk/reward factor with Burton.
The Bengals draft WR Jermaine Burton.
He’s a deep threat who makes great plays down the field, and he’s a long-term piece on the outside. He also has elite hands, which the Bengals really value. The Bengals take a swing for upside, even though he never had an 800 yard season.

Here are some good highlights of Burton:

Burton’s former coach, Nick Saban weighs in:
Nick Saban on ABC about Jermaine Burton, picked No. 80 by Bengals: “Tremendous competitor. … I really, really like this guy. The No. 1 thing he needs to do, and I think emotional maturity is the best way to say it, is do the right things all the time. He does the right things…

Nick Saban on the newest member of the Cincinnati Bengals, Jermaine Burton:
“He’s got great quickness. He’s got really good speed. He can come in and out of a break he can beat you man-to-man. I really, really like this guy.”

Certainly a lot of explosive ability from Burton. If he keeps his head right, the Bengals could have a third-round steal on their hands. He can play inside and outside, so it could be some insurance for post-Tee Higgins or he could be an immediate replacement for Tyler Boyd at wide receiver 3.
The Bengals went back to the trenches in Round 4 with Jackson.
Here is what Twitter had to say:

Bengals interior defensive line went from a concern to solid after Day 2 of the draft.
Kris Jenkins in R2 really excites me and I think McKinnley Jackson in R3 has a good shot to be a valuable contributor in the room.
Not to mention, two guys with good size.

Huge McKinnley Jackson fan
Explosive first step and violent hands, needs to work on consistency and pass rush
Solid selection and based on my film study correct value here for the Bengals https://t.co/yXIDqitEwD

#Bengals double up at DT.
Jenkins is the versatile, rotational piece as a run-stopper in the middle.
McKinnley Jackson, of Texas A&M, would be the new Josh Tupou. Big body, nose tackle, run stopper.

McKinnley Jackson isn’t as bad as some are making it out to be. I think they took him about 20 picks early but I get ensuring you don’t miss out on him. He’s just not flashy but will fill a very specific role that they need. This isn’t nearly as bad as the Carter reach.

McKinnley Jackson boosts the Bengals’ DEF in a major way
His scouting report from @gregcosell
STRENGTHS:
– Aligned predominantly at DT, playing multiple positions in the front: 0-technique, 1-technique, 2i, 2-technique.
– Showed good quickness off the ball for a DT with… https://t.co/EeWFCA7Okd pic.twitter.com/bW6kfhJpKB

It’s late. You’re probably already tucked in. But you can watch one more Draft Call video, right?
