Adam Stenavich and Jeff Hafley had plenty to say on Monday.

Rookie minicamp gives us more than a first look at the rookies: it gives us the first reaction from the Packers’ coaches to seeing those rookies on the field.

And frankly, that matters a whole lot more. As much as I like seeing the reactions on social media about who did and didn’t look good, it’s a lot more interesting to hear from the guys responsible for getting the most out of these players on the field. Although you wouldn’t expect them to say anything else, it’s still encouraging to hear the Packers coordinators say good things about their charges.

Sure, it’s only May, and talk is cheap. But it’s a lot better to hear promising stuff from the Packers coaching staff than “he’s got a long way to go” and “boy, his technique needs work” and “I wish we’d never drafted him,” so maybe we should take what we can get.
