John Cena and Cody Rhodes are two of the biggest stars in pro wrestling, and they have both said it’s time for WrestleMania to come to the United Kingdom. But they aren’t the only notable people pushing for WWE to bring WrestleMania across the pond.

Here is London Mayor Sadiq Khan saying that if he is re-elected next week, he will try to land WrestleMania, the Superbowl, the NBA, and the 2040 Olympics:

Under the leadership of Nick Khan, WWE schedules several international Premium Live Events outside of the United States and Canada each year. However, it’s typically their B-shows like Backlash or Elimination Chamber that are designated for those occasions, rather than WWE’s most well-known events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble.

Nick Khan recently said that WrestleMania is staying in the USA / Canada for now. But money talks, and if Sadiq Khan is willing to pay the right price for WWE’s biggest event of the year, I’m sure something can be worked out. In fact, here is Paul “Triple H” Levesque indicating as much with his response to the London mayor:

Will WrestleMania come to London any time soon, or is this just a political talking point that sounds great on paper but is more like wishful thinking? Let me know what you think in the comments below, Cagesiders.
