Wonderful news.

Trey Hendrickson may want a trade, but all indications are he’ll remain with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2024 NFL season.

Ever since Hendrickson requested a trade prior to the NFL Draft, the Bengals have maintained that their star defensive end won’t be going anywhere.

It would appear Hendrickson is accepting this reality.

On Monday, the Bengals posted a video of Hendrickson participating in offseason workouts.

Hendrickson has become one of the NFL’s best pass-rushers since 2020, racking up 53 sacks during that span while helping the Bengals achieve three straight winning seasons and five playoff wins after the franchise hadn’t won any postgame games since 1991.

However, the former first-round pick of the New Orleans Saints is set to turn 30 in December and is only under contract through the 2025 season after signing a one-year extension in 2023. He’d like to get some more contract security before he likely heads into the twilight of his career in the coming years.

Let’s hope we get to see Hendrickson continue to terrify opposing quarterbacks with the Bengals for the foreseeable future.
