Tiger Woods’ son fails to qualify for PGA Tour

At the Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, Charlie Woods couldn’t secure a spot to compete in the “Monday qualifier” for the Cognizant Classic, a PGA Tour event scheduled from February 29 to March 3, despite a gallery of onlookers. The 15-year-old son of the Californian champion finished at 110th place, with a score of 86 (+16), in the pre-qualifying round, thus bowing out of contention. His scorecard showed no birdies, with four bogeys, two double bogeys, and a disastrous “12” on the 7th hole (par 4), where he dropped eight strokes. Nonetheless, it was a valuable experience for him, shared alongside Olin Browne Jr., the son of Olin Browne, a three-time PGA Tour winner.
